Corte Madera 4th of July Parade
This is a truly delightful event. Both the adult and kids programs walk the parade together. The kids get to swing swords, wowing the community with their joy, enthusiasm, and skill. The parade starts at Redwood High in the parking lot and weaves through Larkspur and Corte Madera down to the mall. We end our walk in the mall parking lot, where we wait for all kids to get picked up by their parents.
During the last weeks of the AKT spring session, we start to practice more sword work in preparation for the parade as well as to get ourselves warmed up for summer camp. (One of the highlights of our camp is watermelon-smashing with our wooden swords. A good clean sword cut produces a perfectly halved melon, ready to be diced up and eaten in style.)

If your family or your child would like to participate in the parade, please email Dolano so that we can get an accurate head count and know how many swords, drinks, and snacks to bring for all. This is a free community-building event.
Once we have the list of registrants, we will be sending out a detailed email with all logistics as we get closer to the date.
